With thousands of resources available, finding what you need can feel overwhelming. The Twinkl site gives you the ability to search for resources using the search terms of your choice or browse a range of categories including subject and topic, Twinkl product, and learning objective.
Use the search bar at the top of the web page to enter keywords for the resource(s) you are searching for. A good tip is to make the keywords as specific as possible. For example, below, the words “Rainforest” and “layers” have been searched and the results show all resources relating to layers of the rainforest.
Using quotation marks around each specific keyword will prevent search results with similar versions of the keywords from appearing. For example, entering "layers" stops any resources with layering or layered from appearing in the search results.
When the search results appear, use the filters on the left of the screen to select the age, language and type of resource you would like. This can be helpful when working with international learners or if you are looking for a PowerPoint to go with an activity.
The filters can be reset at any time by clicking the ‘Clear Filters’ box.
The resources on the website have been categorised in a number of ways. You can browse by age group, then subject, then topic by clicking or hovering your mouse on the buttons underneath the search bar.
Collections of resources have been put together for Parents, Home Educators, Childminders, Supply Teachers, Trainee Teachers and SLTs. You will find a collection of resources based on the career or position on your account in the options under the search bar. You can also type the career or position into the search bar and you will be taken to the resources.
We have also organised our resources by curriculum aim which can be helpful when you are looking for resources covering a specific objective. This tool can be found by scrolling to the bottom of any page on the Twinkl website and clicking on your curriculum in the dark grey box.
Can't find what you're looking for?
If you have a particular resource in mind but have not been able to find it, you can make a request through the website. You can also get in touch with TwinklCares. Let them know the age you would like the resource for, the subject and topic, and the team will be happy to help find resources.
