Sometimes our TwinklCares team might ask you to provide a screenshot of the whole screen so they can help you.
There are a couple of ways to take a screenshot. The information below will help you take a screenshot that can be pasted into an email.
Desktop device - Microsoft Windows 7 or 10
To use the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard, first make sure your screen shows the resource or error you are wanting to send to TwinklCares, then press the 'Print Screen' (this could be 'PrtScn') key. Next, right-click in the email and select 'Paste'. This will paste the screenshot into the email. If you find, that if the screenshot will not paste into the email, you may need to paste it into a Word document and attach the document to the email.
To use the 'Snipping' tool, first make sure your screen shows the resource or error you are wanting to send to TwinklCares, then click the start button and in 'Search' type 'snipping tool'. Click to open the 'Snipping' tool.
When the 'Snipping' tool opens, click 'New'. Select the 'Fullscreen Snip' cutting option from the top of the screen. When your screenshot opens, you can save it to attach to your email or copy and paste it into the email. The 'save' and 'copy' options can be seen at the top right of the screen.
Desktop device - Apple Mac
Press the 'Shift', 'Command' and 3 keys at the same time to take a screenshot. Screenshots are automatically saved to your desktop and can then be attached to your email.
If you are using a mobile device, you will need to use the built in screenshot mode to take a picture of your screen. This might involve pressing the volume and power buttons or the home and power buttons at the same time. Further information of how to take a screenshot can be found on the manufacturer's support site for your mobile device.
Please ensure you take a screenshot of the entire screen and not just part of it.
