What is included in Twinkl Boost?
The Twinkl Boost Team have created a wide variety of resources to help your learners. These are as follows:
For the run up to Year 2 and Year 6 SATs assessments, our easy to use SATs Survival resources are ideal for whole classes, group booster sessions and 1:1 tuition. Choose from practice papers, revision booklets, bumper packs including games, PowerPoints and challenge questions, and packs including everything you’ll need to help children move to ‘Working at’ or ‘Working at Greater Depth’ in maths, reading and SPaG.
60-Second Reading Intervention
Aimed at children age 5 to 7, our 60-second reading intervention resources include texts which progress in difficulty across 10 levels with straightforward session planning to ensure that support staff feel confident whilst conducting the sessions.
Each session is designed to last approximately 10 to 15 minutes for a quick, fun and engaging way of boosting reading progression and addressing ‘reading gaps’ with pupils. Children read the text whilst you complete a running record. Along with questions for children to answer, the running record can provide insight into a child’s reading behaviour by analysing the strategies they use throughout the text.
These resources are designed to help children aged 7 to 11 who need an extra helping hand in their spelling, punctuation and grammar skills to meet expected standards. Featuring a range of engaging, interactive tasks and games, teaching PowerPoints, full session planning and related home learning, the SPaG Samurai characters guide low-attaining pupils through all previously-covered KS1 and KS2 SPaG objectives and key terminology in an accessible and fun way, making it perfect for 1:1 tuition and group booster sessions.
Phonics Screening Survival
In the run up to the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check, choose from a variety of activity packs, booster packs with planning, revision resources, and assessment materials to use with your whole class, smaller intervention groups or for 1:1 sessions. The resources have been created by experienced teachers in line with the DfE content domains used in the Phonics Screening Check.
Maths Same Day Intervention
Available for children aged 5 to 11 years, the Maths Same Day Intervention resources are designed to be used on the day an objective is taught, to address misconceptions that may have appeared during the lesson and help children who need a little extra support. Small-step planning resources show prior learning and break down each objective linking to resources on the site to help teach the objective. Click on the misconception that may arise to find the intervention pack to help children overcome the gap in their learning. Each pack includes a plan for adults leading the intervention, activities for children to complete and home activities to continue their learning.
