We love good service.
We have a record of almost 100% uptime, and we're passionate about ensuring that all parts of the Twinkl site work well, and are accessible at all times.
Twinkl has a dedicated site status page, which you can access here at any time. This is updated with any service availability and all services are monitored 24/7, 365 days a year.
If you ever have any questions about security and privacy, we'd love to chat with you!
DNS related issues
From time to time we help customers who are having difficulties accessing the Twinkl website due to a DNS problem.
DNS is quite technical, but in short it is the global system that is used to make it possible for us to use friendly domain names ('website addresses') to visit our favourite sites, rather than IP addresses.
It is a bit like using our names rather than our passport numbers (or DNA sequence!) when talking to/about one another.
If you type one of our domains into your web browser address bar and see no Twinkl website, then this may be caused by a DNS issue.
As a simple workaround you could try one of our country specific domains: twinkl.com , twinkl.co.uk, twinkl.com.au , twinkl.co.nz, twinkl.ca , twinkl.co.za, etc.... as each domain uses a slightly different setup.
You can also try accessing our website on your mobile phone or another internet connection - if our website works on a different device or internet connection then this could be related to DNS too.
DNS is a distributed but hierarchical system, something can go wrong at various different levels in the hierarchy and where that happens, depends on who/how many people are impacted.
A root level DNS issue will impact lots of people, something has gone very wrong! DNS issues at an Internet Service Provider level, will only impact customers of that ISP, whereas a problem with a local DNS server in a school or home will only impact that school or home.
Twinkl monitors for globally impacting DNS issues with our sites and tries to control/resolve any wide-reaching issues, but we can't monitor for and control isolated DNS issues in a school or home.
If you think you are having a DNS issue, try checking our website on a different device, internet connection or ask a friend to check. You can also try one of our other domains - your experience will be the same on all our domains.
We can't promise to be able to solve your DNS issues - this is something you will need to talk to your ISP, school technician or other technical contact about - but our TwinklCares team can do our best to try to support you if you are having DNS issues. Just get in touch and we'll try to find a way to help you out.
