Children log in and access the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) game at either twinkl.co.uk/go or twinkl.co.uk/share. They:
- Enter the Master PIN
- Enter their username
- Enter their password
They use the same details every time. Whatever groups they're in, they'll see the lessons/resources you've allocated to that group, and they'll see everything you're currently sharing with them (until you delete the lesson or stop sharing it with the group).
When children first log in, you’ll have given them a single-use password. They’ll need to create their own password and make a note of it. If they forget it, you can give them another single-use password and they make a new one as they log in again.
If they're logging in on the same computer/device and you're already logged in to Twinkl, they'll need to use a different browser or incognito mode so that your own Twinkl login doesn't prevent them from logging in. Twinkl only allows one log in per browser.
What do children see when they log in?
When children log in using their PIN, username and password, they'll see the Multiplication Tables Check lesson you’ve shared with them and all the lessons you're currently sharing with any groups they're a member of.
This means you can have separate lessons so that you can share multiple versions of the MTC with different configurations for the same children.
If you've previously used the default PIN-Code sharing, your children will have been used to seeing one lesson per PIN. Now they can see all the lessons allocated to them with a single login.
When children have completed the game, they will see their results as a score out of the total number of questions asked and coloured dots over the questions answered to indicate what was answered correctly and what might need working on. They can click on the dots to see the answer they gave and the correct answer. Blank boxes indicate a question was not asked.
In the example below, all questions for the 11x table were correctly answered. The game did not ask for an answer to 11 x 7.
