eBooks

Rhino Readers App
All books are available on our Rhino Readers app; a digital library allowing you to take Rhino Readers books with you wherever you go. The app is available to download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Ultimate account holders can create up to 50 ‘learner logins’. Sharing these with parents and carers allows their learners to access the books on the Rhino Readers app at any time. Upload learner details, create login cards and authorise which apps you want children to access in the ‘Manage Learners’ area of your account.
Take a look at our ‘Sharing Resources’ articles for more information on how to create learner logins.
Once you’ve handed children their login details, parents and carers can download the Rhino Readers app and use the details to log in to the app. They will then be able to access the app, set up a profile, and children can read the books.

Can Rhino Readers be used with Twinkl Phonics?
Rhino Readers books perfectly complement Twinkl Phonics, our own systematic, synthetic phonics programme for children from nursery to year 2. More info on the Twinkl Phonics Scheme can be found here.
As Twinkl Phonics follows the same progression sequence as Letters and Sounds, it also means that Rhino Readers books are perfectly aligned to the majority of phonics programmes currently used in schools.
How do I match the books to the Twinkl Phonics scheme?
Rhino Readers books are designed to consolidate and reinforce children’s understanding of the GPCs learned in the Twinkl Phonics scheme. There isn’t a book to match each week of teaching - instead, once children have covered a set of sounds, they can read any book in the associated level. The sounds and tricky words you can expect to find in each sublevel of the Rhino Readers can be seen in pages 8 and 9 of the Rhino Readers product guide. You can also see exactly which weeks of teaching each sublevel reinforces in this overview.
Take a look at our minibooks which can be used if you’re looking for reading material which exactly matches each week of the phonics scheme. Each level has a reading and writing minibooks per week.
Do our levels correspond with the Book Band colours?
The colour shown on the Rhino Readers book spine corresponds to Twinkl Phonics levels. In addition, all Rhino Readers books ensure children and teachers see the focus sounds and tricky words before reading, making it easy to see exactly what’s covered in the book. Colour banding systems used by other publishers can vary.
