Learning for a sustainable future.
What is Eco Adventurers?
Eco Adventurers is our sustainability scheme of work; a range of lessons designed to easily fit into current curriculum teaching. Resources help all educators approach the topic with confidence, and include everything you need to teach children about climate change, sustainability, and the importance of taking care of our planet whilst lowering the risk of eco-anxiety.
What topics are covered?
Eco Adventurers covers 6 key topics. Each topic includes 6 lessons for KS1 and KS2 with 1 lesson full of activity ideas for EYFS children. Topics include Earth’s Climate and Cycles, Water and Life Below Water, Waste, Life on Earth and Biodiversity, Energy and Global Citizenship.
How can I use the resources in my setting?
Use the overview for each topic to see the lessons and lesson objectives. The lessons in each topic have been designed to work alongside science, geography and PSHE objectives making them easy to include in current teaching schedules. Lessons also link to Eco-Schools topics so they can be used as evidence when applying for Eco-Schools Green Flag Awards.
