Sometimes our TwinklCares team might ask for a screenshot of the whole screen so they can help.
There are a couple of ways to take a screenshot.
Desktop device - Microsoft Windows
'Print Screen' button
Make sure your screen shows the resource or error you're wanting to send to TwinklCares, then press the 'Print Screen' (this could be 'Prt Scn') key. Next, right-click in the email and select 'Paste'. This will add the screenshot to the email.
If the screenshot won't paste into the email, you may need to paste it into a Word document and attach the document to the email.
'Snipping' tool
Make sure your screen shows the resource or error you're wanting to send to TwinklCares, then click the start button and in 'Search' type 'snipping tool'. Click to open the 'Snipping' tool.
When the 'Snipping' tool opens, click 'New'. Select the 'Fullscreen Snip' cutting option at the top of the screen.
When your screenshot opens, you can save it, to attach to your email, or copy and paste it into the email. The 'save' and 'copy' options can be seen at the top right of the screen.
Further information on using the snipping tool can be found here.
Desktop device - Apple Mac
Press the 'Shift', 'Command' and '3' keys at the same time to take a screenshot. Screenshots are automatically saved to your desktop and can then be attached to your email.
Further information on how to take a screenshot on your Mac can be found here.
Mobile Device
If you are using a mobile device, you will need to use the built in screenshot mode to take a picture of your screen. This might involve pressing the volume and power buttons or the home and power buttons at the same time. Further information of how to take a screenshot can be found on the manufacturer's support site for your mobile device.
Please ensure you take a screenshot of the entire screen and not just part of it.
