What is Diving into Mastery?
Our Diving into Mastery resources are carefully aligned with the White Rose Maths scheme of learning. Designed to develop fluency, reasoning and problem-solving with expertly-designed tasks to match each of the small steps of learning.
What are the submarine icons for?
Noticed the submarines on our activity sheets? These indicate the types of questions covered in the activity sheet.
Diving - these questions develop fluency.
Deeper - these questions develop reasoning.
Deepest - these questions develop problem-solving.
What resources are included in Diving into Mastery?
As well as home learning interactive worksheets, you'll also find resources for each block, split into steps. For key stage 1 (ages 5 - 7), resource downloads include an activity card for each stage of the learning journey accompanied by adult guidance including key questions and stem sentences.
For Key stage 2 (ages 7 - 11), resource downloads include a powerpoint with questions for whole-class discussion and modelling accompanied by an activity sheet for each stage of the learning journey for independent practice.
You'll also find the 'Steps to Progression' planning overviews from our PlanIt product in the Dive into Mastery section of the website. These provide guidance on which PlanIt lessons to use with each block of Diving into Mastery resources.
To assess understanding and identify misconceptions use the termly assessment tracker which is available for each year group.
